Welcome to the ABTC standardized National Specialty Website
This page contains some tips to get started with the current year National Specialty Website.
The format of the main page, main (or top level) menus remain the same from year to year.
The operative Menu for this current year is: ABTC YYYY Location. All of the submenus, linked pages are open to your creative and functional needs. The text of each of these pages remain intact from the prior year as a visual aid as you create this new year.
An important first note is how to hide and unhide a page from the menus. Navigate in the left panel task to Site Pages and Menu. With this open to the full list of pages and menus; you will see some have a crossed out eyeball on the far right. Those are hidden from the menu, although they are active webpages. In some cases you can toggle the hidden on/off through the right context menu. If the option isn’t available on the right context menu, You can also turn 'hide from menu' on/off in page settings.
Currently, the page National Opening Soon is set as the current year NS page, and all of the other pages are hidden behind this menu. You are free to work on updating as much as you want. When you are ready to publish the website and reveal the menu system behind the National Opening Soon; mark the page National Opening Soon with “hide page” from the context menu. Then select the page ABTC yyyy: location; and set it to show in menu.
Update the ABTC yyyy: location page with the information for the upcoming year National.
There may be web pages that are hidden and not active. These are typically from optional activities that haven’t been used recently. Do not delete any of the web pages inherited with this shell copy.
After the final task of posting the results of the current year as well as producing the reports and information for the NS audit; the ABTC Platform Admin will close this current year and prepare for the new year. Each new year starts with a clean “database” of transactional data, but with the web pages and dynamic pages populated from prior years. This content on the pages is to aid the current year; a guideline to plan changes and updates to be appropriate for the current year.
At the conclusion of your National Specialty year, the current year webmaster is tasked per the NS P&P to post the results of the current year to the website (see prior years examples). The webmaster should additionally send these results to the ABTC Website Coordinator. Also send the results to the TNT Coordinator / Editor for the TNT NS Issue.
Wix has a robust help system within the platform. Google is useful for more complex information searches.
