Deadline: April 1, 2023
Event Date: Thursday, May 11
The Honor Parade is a non-competitive event open to all Belgian Tervuren eight years of age or older on the date of the Honor Parade and having at least one AKC title or a BAR award. The Honor Parade Committee may review dogs that because of a health crisis or similar situation might not survive to the age to qualify for the Honor Parade. Tervuren entered in Best of Breed eligible conformation classes (class dogs, class bitches, best of breed, non-regular veteran dog and veteran bitch eight years through ten years) are not eligible to participate in the Honor Parade. Dogs and bitches eleven years and older will be allowed to compete both in the Best of Breed Veteran classes and the Honor Parade. A Show Secretary, Show Chairperson and any Specialty Judge who has completed their assignment may enter their eligible Tervuren in the Honor Parade.
To participate, send the following Entry Form NO LATER THAN APRIL 1st by email to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Honor Parade Entry” in subject line or by mail to Carol Lautzenheiser, 6207 Calender Rd., Arlington, TX 76001. Please do NOT send entries to the show superintendent.
Mail your check, payable to ABTC 2023, or pay via the Specialty Store.
If you have adopted a dog through Belgian Tervuren Rescue, or other rescue organizations and have their status as Tervuren established by an AKC number or ILP number, you are invited to participate in the 2023 Rescue Parade. The Rescue Parade is an opportunity for you to showcase your dog and will be held on Friday, May 13th. There is no entry fee. You will receive a fabulous rosette ribbon embossed with your dog’s name and a commemorative booklet featuring the resumés and pictures of each dog. Resumés will be read at the parade. Dogs that have been “rehomed” returned to the breeder and/or through the breeder have found a new home, are not eligible for the Rescue Parade.
